This isn't just policy on paper — it's how we run the platform every day
Sone 970 believes that betting should remain purely entertainment. If at any point you feel that your gambling activity is starting to affect your finances, relationships, or wellbeing, please make use of the tools we provide or contact our support team at support@sone970.best for immediate assistance.
Responsible gaming is an approach to online betting and gaming that prioritises self-control, self-awareness, and balance. It means playing within limits you can afford, understanding that all games carry the risk of financial loss, and ensuring that gaming does not interfere with other important areas of your life — such as personal finances, work, family relationships, and mental health.
At Sone 970, responsible gambling is not just a phrase we put in the footer. It is part of how we design the platform, how we engage with players, and how we measure our own success. A platform where players gamble in a healthy and responsible way is one that will remain relevant and trusted over the long term — and that is what we are here to be.
Understanding the difference between healthy entertainment and problem gambling is an important first step. Healthy betting means playing by choice, using disposable funds you can afford to lose entirely, without any pressure to keep playing or make additional deposits. Warning signs begin to emerge when someone starts gambling to escape real-life problems, borrows money to bet, or cannot stop even when they want to.
Sone 970 offers a wide range of entertainment including Live Casino, slots, Table Games, Sports Betting on the Malaysia Super League and EPL, BWF badminton, MPL Malaysia E-Sports, and lottery. All of this is meant to be enjoyed as entertainment — much like watching a football match on the weekend or catching the Thomas Cup final. It is a way to enjoy the sports and games you love, with an extra layer of excitement through controlled betting.
As an online betting platform serving Malaysian players, Sone 970 carries responsibilities that we take seriously. Below are the concrete commitments we uphold in our day-to-day operations:
Responsible gaming tools at Sone 970 are not hidden extras buried in hard-to-find menus. They are prominently available in your account settings and accessible at any time. We designed these tools to be easy to activate but to require a waiting period before they can be relaxed — this is intentional, to help players stick to decisions made with a clear head, not in the heat of the moment.
Sone 970's system monitors gameplay patterns and automatically adjusts promotional communications. Players who display concerning patterns — such as a sharp increase in deposits, unusually long gaming sessions, or bets that far exceed their usual limits — will not receive aggressive promotional communications from us. This is an internal policy we enforce even if it means lower short-term revenue for us.
Sone 970 uses a multi-layered age verification process to ensure that only individuals aged 18 and above are able to register and use the platform. This includes Malaysian phone number verification, KYC checks where required, and ongoing monitoring to detect any attempts to circumvent the age requirement. We have zero tolerance on this matter.
Sone 970's customer support team operates 24/7 via live chat and has received specialist training in responsible gambling. They are trained to identify players who may need assistance and to respond with empathy and without judgment, while directing players to the appropriate tools and resources. Support is available in Bahasa Melayu to ensure clear and effective communication.
All of the following tools are available free of charge within your Sone 970 account settings and can be activated at any time without needing to contact support first:

Problem gambling rarely develops overnight. It typically grows slowly and subtly, and often the player themselves is the last to notice. Recognising the early warning signs is key to addressing the situation before it becomes more serious.
Here is a checklist to help you honestly assess your own playing patterns. Click on each item that you feel applies to your experience recently:
Your selections: 0 of 8 items
Check any items that apply to see a brief assessment.
If you have checked any item in the list above, it's worth paying attention to. One or two items may mean you should be more mindful and consider using the deposit limit or self-exclusion tools. If you've checked three or more items, we strongly encourage you to speak with someone you trust or reach out to the Sone 970 support team for further guidance on next steps.
This checklist is a guide only and is not a clinical diagnostic tool. If you are concerned about your own gambling habits or those of someone close to you, please consult a qualified mental health professional or counselling service for a more accurate assessment and appropriate support.
Here is a practical guide we recommend to all Sone 970 players, regardless of experience or skill level:
Before opening the Sone 970 platform for any gaming session, decide on the maximum amount you are willing to spend and treat that money as already gone. This is how experienced players think about their gaming budget — it is not an "investment" you expect a return on; it is the cost of entertainment, just like a cinema ticket or a dinner out. If you win, that is a welcome bonus. If not, you have still gotten the entertainment you paid for.
Use Sone 970's deposit limit feature to reinforce this budget commitment at a technical level — so that even when the temptation to top up arises mid-session during a rough streak, the platform will automatically block any further deposits in line with the limit you set when your mind was clear.
Time passes quickly during an engaging gaming session — especially in a live casino or while watching an MPL Malaysia e-sports match with in-play bets on the line. Set a clear time limit before you start, enable the session timer reminder in your Sone 970 settings, and respect that limit when the reminder appears. Step away, grab a meal, or do something else before continuing if you choose to carry on.
Betting decisions made when you're angry, stressed, frustrated, or under the influence of alcohol are rarely good ones. Sone 970 is available 24 hours a day — you don't have to play right now if you're not in the right headspace. Close the platform and come back when you feel calmer and clearer.
Every game on Sone 970 has its own structure and odds. A slot with 96% RTP means that, on average, RM 96 is returned to players for every RM 100 wagered over the long run — but this is a statistical average, not a guarantee for any individual session. Blackjack played with correct basic strategy carries a lower house edge than most other games. Take time to understand the RTP and odds of each game before you play, and choose games that match your risk tolerance.
Big wins are the exception, not the rule. Consecutive losses are a normal part of the gaming experience and do not mean "luck is about to turn" or "it's your time." Every spin, every game is independent of the last — there is no memory in RNG, and there is no way to "read" upcoming winning patterns. Playing with realistic expectations makes the experience more enjoyable and far less stressful.
The Sone 970 platform is strictly for individuals aged 18 and above, with no exceptions. We enforce a multi-layered age verification process that includes active Malaysian phone number verification, KYC checks for accounts with higher financial activity, and ongoing monitoring to detect attempts to bypass age restrictions. Any account suspected of belonging to an underage individual will be suspended and investigated immediately.
If you share a device or computer with a family member under the age of 18, we encourage you to take additional protective measures:
If you become aware or suspect that someone under the age of 18 is using or attempting to use the Sone 970 platform, please report it to us immediately at support@sone970.best. All reports will be taken seriously and prompt action will be taken to investigate and close the relevant account if the review confirms an age limit violation.
