It's no longer a niche hobby or something dismissed as kids' stuff. Esports in Malaysia now has scheduled leagues, professional coaches, player salaries, and backing from major corporations.
Sone 970 is built for Malaysian esports viewers and fans who don't just want to watch — they want to be part of the action in a way that makes every moment more exciting. Markets open for all major tournaments — from local leagues to world finals
Esports betting is still a relatively new space compared to traditional sports betting like football or badminton — and that's exactly what makes it interesting. Many platforms still haven't figured out what serious esports fans actually need. They offer markets that are too limited, uncompetitive odds, or no in-play betting option during live matches.
Sone 970 takes a different approach. The platform builds its esports markets around the real needs of local fans — particularly Mobile Legends and PUBG Mobile fans who follow every MPL and PMSL series closely. The markets on offer go well beyond win/loss — you'll find handicap, total maps, first blood, kill handicap, and more, adding real depth to the betting experience.
Another major advantage Sone 970 offers esports fans is in-play betting. This means you can place bets while a match is in progress — odds update in real time as the game develops. If you're watching an MPL Malaysia match live and you notice one team starting to gain momentum after winning a big team fight in the first game, you can pull up Sone 970 right away, check the updated odds, and place your bet on the spot. It's the closest a betting experience can get to actually watching esports live.
In the Malaysian context, no esports title comes close to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. MPL Malaysia is one of the most-watched esports leagues in the region, and Malaysian teams like RSG MY, Geek Fam, Team HAQ, and several others have become household names among local fans. MPL Malaysia Grand Finals held in person at Axiata Arena KL consistently draw crowds in the thousands — a clear reflection of just how passionate this community is.
To bet on Mobile Legends at Sone 970, knowing your favourite team isn't enough. You need to understand the current meta — which heroes are strong, what strategies certain teams tend to run, and how key players have been performing over the past few weeks. Dedicated MPL Malaysia fans already have this knowledge, and it gives them a real edge over casual bettors. Sone 970 gives them a platform to put that knowledge to good use.
Betting on battle royale esports like PUBG Mobile and Free Fire is quite different from one-on-one formats like MLBB or CS2. In a battle royale, there are typically 16 or more teams competing simultaneously in a single match, which makes straight "winner" bets more challenging. Odds for any one team winning a match can be very long — meaning the potential payout is higher, but so is the risk.
A smart way to bet on PUBG Mobile or Free Fire at Sone 970 is to focus on Top 3 or Top 4 markets — predicting whether your chosen team will finish in the top three or four. This is more predictable than picking an outright winner, yet still offers attractive odds when an underdog team manages to crack the upper standings. For fans who have followed PMSL or FFML from the start, they know which teams are consistent and which tend to struggle under pressure — that kind of insight goes a long way toward making sharper betting decisions.
